Bunsen burners and ties: I just wanted to check how the situation looks at schools wearing ties as part of their uniform requirements. They have to wear ties at all times. If they do chemistry, they mostly don't wear lab coats and I think a tie could either get into some of the chemicals maybe or could be a problem around a Bunsen. Just seeing that girls have to tie up their hair so it's not getting into something, a tie could also be a problem?
