The Elements: Elements and compounds assessment

The Elements: Elements and compounds assessment
Publication Date: January, 2013
Type of Resource: Assessment task

This online resource is an assessment item to identify compounds and elements.

The resource tests a student’s ability to identify compounds and elements and their properties through the use of an activity that deconstructs common materials found in the real world.

At the end of the assessment, a report is created that can be printed and handed to a teacher.

The assessment item relies on a student having completed ‘The elements: Find the elements’ interactive simulation on the same site prior to doing the assessment.

The task should take approximately 15 minutes once set up.
