Jelly optics

Jelly optics
Type of Resource: Practical activity/investigation

This website details an activity that involves students making their own concave and convex lenses out of jelly crystals. The lenses need to set overnight. This would be ideal for students to examine the effects of the different lens types, and the different thickness of the lenses will produce different focal lengths. This activity encourages inquiry-based learning.
