This online resource supports the teaching of Year 9 Earth and space science.

The resource is a teaching package that provides a range of hands-on student activities and teacher support materials to help with the teaching of the Year 9 Earth and Physical Sciences components of the Australian Curriculum.

The activities are organised into four topics:

  1. Continental Drift and Plate Tectonic Theory
  2. Relating Earthquakes and Volcanic Activity to Plate Boundaries
  3. Great Iron Catastrophe (GIC) and Planetary Differentiation
  4. Can Humans Move the Earth?

The teaching package includes teacher support materials for the above topics.

The Woodside Australian Science Project (WASP) is an initiative supported by Woodside Energy Limited and Earth Science Western Australia (ESWA). It provides hands-on activities and resources for the teaching of the Earth Science component of the Australian Curriculum.
