This online resource has student activities for the study of evolution.
Of particular relevance is the 'Evolution Cards' activity, where students are provided with a series of cards to sort in order to demonstrate an understanding of the process of natural selection.
There is a set of cards that indicate the steps in the natural selection process, and two sets of cards that illustrate two examples of natural selection in action (peppered moth and resistant bacteria).
The web page provides lesson instructions and answers as well as the activity cards.
This activity has been produced by the Nuffield foundation in partnership with the Society of Biology (UK) and is found on the Nuffield foundation website.
This is a simple activity to match cards but it serves as a good review of the main features of the theory.
