Make a Model Lung
This online resource investigate the physics of the human lung.
The resource gives printable instructions on how to make a model lung out of a small plastic drink bottle. This is useful for explaining how movement of the diaphragm causes air to move into the lungs.
Students could then examine what variables affect air flow (for example: pregnancy pressing on the diaphragm).
