This website provides information on the Antarctic environment and its wildlife. Students can also access information from scientists on the processes involved in the Southern Ocean ecosystems and Antarctic climate. Students can also access interviews and images to gain an understanding of the exploration and history of Antarctica along with the activities associated with its environmental management, treaty law, and living and working in Antarctica. 


 

Additional Information

The website contains a variety of comprehensive teaching resources aimed at Year levels 5–8 with classroom ideas to stimulate students' interest in real-world applications for science. Students can actively plan an expedition to the Antarctic and can also actively explore what it would be like to work in Antarctica.
